    Inside equivant Supervision + Pretrial

Meet Daniela Imig, equivant Pretrial Implementation Specialist

Why did you get into the pretrial industry?

I actually sort of 'fell' into pretrial in a previous role. I ended up managing several pretrial programs throughout Wisconsin and I instantly became passionate about pretrial and bail reform. To me, honoring the presumption of innocence and affording constitutional rights to anyone awaiting trial is paramount to a safe and equitable society.

Favorite thing about working at equivant Pretrial?

The software industry is totally new to me - I was a behavioral health & pretrial practitioner for over 15 years - so there is an endless amount to learn. I've truly enjoyed getting to work with people with incredibly diverse backgrounds.

    Favorite book?

Talking to Strangers by Malcolm Gladwell. His book taught me a lot about how I tend to perceive people's actions (or reactions) when they don't necessarily reflect my own. Shout out to Erin King, Customer Success Manager, for loaning me this book after I bought it for her four years ago.

When you are not working, what are your favorite things to do?

I don't get a lot of free time outside of work, but I love going to listen to bands on weekends. I also love spending time with my three-year-old daughter; I'm teaching her how to skateboard and we're exploring Milwaukee together. I'm also (poorly) trying to teach myself to play. piano!
